Magic Software strengthens and expands Nigerian channel
Satson Global Networks has been appointed as Magic's national distributor in Nigeria; the companies will hold a joint event in May in Lagos to grow the reseller channel.
Magic Software Enterprises (NASDAQ: MGIC), a global provider of software platforms for enterprise mobility, cloud applications and business integration, announced today that it has appointed Satson Global Network (Satson) national distributor for all Magic products, including Magic xpa Application Platform and Magic xpi Integration Platform, in the Nigerian market.
"Nigeria is rapidly becoming the technology and economic hub of Africa," says Daniel Hall, country manager for Magic Software South Africa. "The impact of mobile phones and the internet is revolutionising the way individuals interact and the way SMEs, farmers and informal traders operate. The resulting wave of innovation in Africa's ICT (information and communication technologies) sector presents a great opportunity for Magic's enterprise mobility, integration and application development solutions. As corporations and entrepreneurs alike develop and deploy streamlined core business applications and launch new digital and mobile ventures using Magic's solutions, longstanding challenges in education, health, financial and other sectors are addressed.
"The rapid evolution of the ICT sector requires corporations and entrepreneurs to be agile and responsive to technology advances while remaining vigilant to costs," says Shakirudeen Lasisi, executive director of Satson. "Magic's cost-effective solutions provide tremendous benefits to Nigerian organisations that want to increase efficiencies and leverage new technologies while minimising total cost of ownership (TCO)."
"As Magic's first reseller in Nigeria, Satson has demonstrated tremendous expertise and understanding of how to position and implement Magic's multi-channel application development and integration solutions," adds Hall. "We are excited to advance our relationship to the distributor level and confident in Satson's abilities to grow our business in Nigeria."
Magic and Satson are hosting the Magic End-to-End Roadshow on Thursday, 22 May, at the Four-Points by Sheraton in Lagos, to showcase Magic's product portfolio and recruit additional Nigerian resellers. Targeted at value added software resellers and software development houses, the event will highlight the benefit of a true fully integrated end-to-end enterprise mobility solution for a multi-channel approach, including application development, back-end system integration, management and broad professional service capabilities.
