1touch.io, the provider of data discovery and management platform Inventa, has inked a distribution agreement with Corr-Serve, a pan-African distributor of security, performance, and governance solutions.

According to Mark van Vuuren, product director at Corr-Serve, changes in legislation under POPIA are placing new demands on technology to identify and manage all personal data within a business.

Compliance means companies need to have made their best effort to achieve full disclosure, says Van Vuuren. Solutions such as Inventa help enterprises meet those demands quickly and effectively across fluid IT environments, and significantly reduce the investment required to do this on a legacy, manual basis, he adds.

Inventa claims to be the first network-based data discovery and classification platform that provides automated, near real-time discovery, mapping, and tracking of all sensitive data at enterprise scale.

It employs network analytics, natural language processing, and supervised AI to automatically discover and analyse all data usage and lineage within a business, irrespective of where it is located, at rest or in motion, known or unknown, semi- structured, structured or unstructured.

This helps organisations comply with CCPA, GDPR, LGPD, and all other data privacy regulations efficiently, and inexpensively, he says.

Zak Rubinstein, CEO and co-founder of 1touch.io, says the local channel will benefit from new sources of sustainable revenues through the partnership.

“We offer a subscription-based solution in the new world of data discovery and data privacy. By adding this to their portfolios, channel partners will be able to extend their current security and IT operations expertise into this fast-growing new space,” he says.
