Syrex, leading provider of virtualised and hybrid network infrastructures and solutions, sponsored the Bryanston Country Club Easter Festival 2018 and used the opportunity to take its corporate social investment (CSI) commitment a step further.
The club's annual Easter egg hunt is an event on every social calendar, and this year, the children from Noah's Ark Daycare were bused in to experience it for themselves. In addition to taking their children to a fun-filled Easter day, Noah's Ark Daycare has received a R10 000 donation from Syrex towards building a much-needed classroom.
"We really wanted give these children an incredible day out and Easter adventure," says Ralph Berndt, Director, Sales at Syrex. "We made sure that they were fed a huge lunch so that they had enough energy to manage the hunt, and it was amazing to see how much fun they had. It was a truly uplifting experience."
Noah's Ark Daycare was recommended to Syrex as the ideal choice for their Easter charity drive by JAM South Africa, Syrex's chosen charity for 2018. JAM South Africa feeds one child for R50 a month or R600 a year, so the funds raised by the Syrex Golf Day are set to feed over 20 children for a year. For the company, this is an important part of its focus on supporting the growth of the next generation of South Africans and making a real difference to the lives of others.
