Quanergy Announces Duxbury Networking as First South African Distributor

Quanergy Systems, Inc., a global leader in the development and manufacture of LiDAR sensors and smart sensing solutions, today announced that Duxbury Networking will serve as the company's first South African distributor. The company is looking to Duxbury to help expand its reach across South Africa and grow sales of Quanergy's innovative LiDAR-based security system, QORTEX for SecurityTM.

QORTEX for Security is an innovative, LiDAR-based 3D perimeter fencing and intrusion detection system. The integrated hardware and software platform combines Quanergy's M8 mechanical LiDAR sensor with its proprietary QORTEX perception software. The platform is fully integrated into existing VMS (Video Management System) and PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) infrastructure and offers surveillance automation with real-time detection, tracking, and classification.

Quanergy first announced its QORTEX for Security product in January 2018 at CES. In recent weeks, the company shared details of a perimeter security pilot program currently underway on private land in Texas, where the QORTEX for Security product is being tested for potential use on the US-Mexico border, as well as a strategic collaboration with defense technology company CRON to utilize QORTEX for Security on the Indian border.
