HP sponsors consortium

The SOA Consortium announced that HP has increased its support by becoming a sponsor, says Business Wire.

The SOA Consortium is an advocacy group of end-users, service providers and technology vendors committed to helping the Global 1000, major government agencies, and mid-market businesses successfully adopt service-oriented architecture (SOA) by 2010.

HP joins sponsors Cisco, IBM, SAP AG, Sparx Systems and Sun Microsystems.

IBM recognises SOA partners

IBM recognised four business partners for their outstanding dedication to building and implementing innovative solutions using the IBM WebSphere platform, says Fox Business.

IBM's second annual Impact Business Partner Awards recognises business partners who are providing customers with cutting-edge solutions based on SOA.

The awards are being presented at Impact 2008, IBM's worldwide customer event focused on the burgeoning $160 billion SOA market.

SOA simulation product launched

Crosscheck Networks has launched SOAPSimulator, an affordable, easy-to-configure, comprehensive service simulation product for SOA developers and testers, says IT Business Net.

SOAPSimulator enables SOA professionals to significantly reduce project expense and duration and deliver interoperable and secure SOA.

"We find that businesses are initially excited about automating transactions with their trading partners but lose momentum and become frustrated when they have to wait for service implementation to complete or endpoints to be available," said Mamoon Yunus, CTO Forum Systems.
