Content management standard to be set

A proposed content management standard is expected to be finalised early next year, reports PC World.

Content Management Interoperability Services was first revealed in September 2008. It outlines a standardised Web services interface for sharing content across multiple content management system platforms.

The specification is being developed under the standards body Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards, and is supported by the content management industry's biggest players, including EMC, Adobe, Microsoft, Open Text, IBM and SAP.

Object Consulting, Ingres enter alliance

Object Consulting, a provider of enterprise business offerings, has formed a strategic relationship with open source database management company Ingres to provide a combined offering, according to Computer Business Review.

Julian Edwards, COO of Object Consulting, said: "The relationship builds out our open source capabilities and strengthens our relationship portfolio with innovators across all layers of the open source technology stack."

As part of the partnership, Ingres will contribute its database management and enterprise content management offering sets, in conjunction with Alfresco. Object Consulting will offer to the strategic alliance advanced expertise in delivering enterprise implementations on-time and within budget.

CrownPeak releases marketing suite

Web content management provider CrownPeak has unveiled its Online Marketing Management Suite, says Business Wire.

The solution empowers business managers to measure content relevance in Web sites, landing pages, banner ads, mobile devices, social media and other online channels.
