Freeman buys Encore rentals

US Freeman Decorating Services, a provider of integrated services for corporate events, said it has acquired audio-visual equipment rental company Encore Productions to expand its business in the face-to-face industry and the audio-visual (AV) area, says TMC Net.

The terms of the deal have not been revealed. Freeman AV president Ken Sanders says, Encore's acquisition makes the company one of the highest-ranking technology providers in the audio-visual field.

The acquisition should also enable the company to offer the most varied product range in this industry, Sanders adds.

Queensland gets Apple training centre

Queensland-based Australian AV expert Videopro has become the state's first authorised Apple Professional Applications training centre, says CRN Australia.

The 30-year-old dealer expanded its training courses to cover all professional Apple programs including Final Cut Pro, Motion, Colour, DVD Studio Pro and Aperture.

It already provided training courses for the broadcast and production industry such as Avid training, professional camera training and colourist strategies training courses.

ViewSonic unveils high- flyers'

ViewSonic, an Indian consumer electronics company and provider of visual display products, has introduced channel scheme 'high- flyers', states India Info Online

This 'buy and fly' scheme offers ViewSonic channel partners with an opportunity to earn more by purchasing more ViewSonic Projectors in this season from 1 September to 31 December this year.

Gautam Ghosh, country manager of ViewSonic Technologies India says; “ViewSonic has always been keen on benefiting the channel associates by bring product extension which would help them grow their business.”
