Bolton Technical launches new range of InHand Routers in SA

Bolton Technical has expanded its portfolio of products with the launch of two new ICASA approved InHand Routers in South Africa. The company has announced the launch of the InHand IR302 Compact Industrial LTE Router and the ER805 Cloud-Managed Edge Router. This new line of products, paired with Bolton Technical’s existing signal boosting products, will offer a turnkey signal solution to the IT and IOT industry.

The InRouter 302 LTE router is a reliable, secure, compact and powerful M2M connectivity solution for industrial and commercial industries.

The IR302 provides reliable networking service for remote IOT sites. With support for multiple means of access and backup mechanisms, the IR302 ensures uninterrupted network access, offering constant connection for various sites. Some key features include failover between cellular LTE networks and WiFi, VRRP mechanism for backup, dual-SIM failover and multi-layer link detection mechanism, automatic redial and recovery.

The IR302 offers numerous security mechanisms, ensuring secure internet connectivity throughout data transmission, network protection and management. To protect the network against external attacks, the device supports firewall functions including SPI detection, access control, DDOS defence, virtual IP mapping, IP-MAC binding. The IR302 supports IPsec VPN, PPTP, OPEN VPN, ensuring secure data transmission.

The EdgeRouter805 or ER805 is a cloud-managed SD-WAN edge router for the 5G network era. Together with the InCloud Manager SaaS service, it provides customers with high-speed, secure network connection and one-stop network management service.

This device integrates software, hardware and cloud services to realise SD-WAN network, which provides "always online" high-quality network services, reducing the risk of network failures and network input costs.

This plug-and-play device is easy to set up, even for non-IT staff. The ER805 is equipped with 5G cellular network access capabilities (with 4G LTE fallback), offering better service with high bandwidth and low latency.
