Canon unveils unified OIS

Canon India says it expects 20% growth in its office imaging solutions (OIS) division's revenue to 350 rupees crore in 2011, reveals The Hindu Business Line.

“India continues to build strong consumption, as well as investment momentum. With sustained 9% GDP growth, we should begin to witness higher level of entrepreneurial depth,” Canon India senior VP, Alok Bharadwaj, said in a statement.

According IT News Online, this B2B firm has been one of the major contributors in Canon's overall business, contributing more than 25% to the company's revenue in 2010.

Meanwhile, The Business Standard states that Canon India recently revealed plans to merge its enterprise solutions division for large enterprises and channel network for the SME segment into the OIS division.

“This newly formed division will have 162 sales and marketing staff," Bharadwaj says.
