Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, represented exclusively in SA by National Data Systems (NDS), has announced that its flagship data warehousing software, Teradata Database V2R4.1, has been certified to be compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000.

"We are proud to receive the Windows logo certification which is a stamp of approval assuring customers that Teradata and Microsoft Windows 2000 have been rigorously tested to ensure reliability and manageability," says Simon O` Hagan, general manager, Teradata Solutions Group at NDS.

The Microsoft Windows 2000 logo certification program was developed by Microsoft in cooperation with customers and third-party developers to provide clear, concise guidelines to help developers create applications that deliver new levels of reliability, thereby reducing cost of ownership for customers.

It helps buyers to identify those applications that have been thoroughly tested for compatibility, resulting in less administration and downtime.
