Ventana Research, a leading benchmark research and advisory services firm, has named Kronos the top "hot" vendor in workforce management in its Value Index for Workforce Management. In addition, the latest version of the Kronos Workforce Central suite of workforce management applications ranked the top product in Ventana Research's Value Index.
"This award underscores Kronos' global market leadership, which is built on the way it has moved workforce management into workforce optimisation, with a solution that is centralised, integrated, configurable and modular," says Yolanda Krajnc, sales manager at Bytes Systems Integration's Workforce Management Division, the exclusive representative of Kronos in Africa.

The Value Index for Workforce Management is an analytic representation of Ventana Research's assessment of how well vendors' offerings meet buyers' requirements. It evaluates application vendors and their products in seven categories. Five are product-related: usability, manageability, reliability, capability, and adaptability; and two quantify the customer assurance issues of vendor validation and total cost of ownership and return on investment.
Ventana Research scored the Kronos Workforce Central suite in the top spot for many reasons, among them:
* Capability based on its strengths in time and attendance and employee scheduling; its application-specific support with dashboards that show users information aggregated from all parts of the application as well as embedded analytics; its industry-specific applications such as its role-based task management application for the retail industry; and its mobile application that includes features for users and managers.
* Reliability, thanks to strong architecture and scalability.
* Validation owing to its long commitment to workforce management and the number and variety of its clients.
In addition to high scores in product-related categories, Kronos also scored at the top in the customer assurance category: total cost of ownership and return on investment.
Kronos Workforce Central suite applications assessed for this report include time and attendance, absence management, employee scheduling, labour activities, and labour analytics, as well as mobile and tablet applications.
