Fujitsu named ‘Partner of the Year’ by Citrix, donates prize to Australian fire disaster charities

Citrix selected Fujitsu based on a series of successful joint engagements and customer wins, pledging to match the company's $20 000 donation.

Munich and Orlando, 29 Jan 2020

Fujitsu was today named global Partner of the Year, the highest distinction possible, by US multinational software company Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS). It was also declared Citrix Global Systems Integrator (GSI) of the Year for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

The announcements were made in Orlando, US, at Citrix Summit, Citrix’s annual partner conference and fiscal year "kick-off".

Accepting the award for Fujitsu, Megumi Shimazu, Corporate Executive Officer and EVP, Head of Digital Infrastructure Services Business Group, donated the $20 000 prize money to charities working to combat Australia's bushfire disaster, including the Red Cross. Citrix has pledged to match this donation, bringing the total amount raised to $40 000.

Citrix selected Fujitsu as Partner of the Year based on a sequence of highly successful joint engagements and customer wins, especially in Asia-Pacific, Japan and Europe.

It also spotlighted Fujitsu Oceania in the award citation as one of the first customers for Citrix Workspace with intelligent capabilities, which Fujitsu is leveraging to transform the employee experience for its own teams as well as those of its customers.

Further evidence of the tight partnership bond between the companies has surfacedappears in the recent integration between Citrix Workspace and Fujitsu’s RunMyProcess Digital Suite. With this integration, companies can make workers more efficient and productive by organising and automating task engagement as line-of-business transactions in an intelligent and actionable way.

In the citation for Fujitsu’s selection as EMEA GSI of the Year, Fujitsu was also praised for being among the valued partners working together with Citrix to power a better way to work with solutions for the unified workspace, including networking and analytics that help organisations to unlock innovation, engage customers and boost productivity, all without sacrificing security.
