Infor promotes Keith Deane to president of EMEA

New president brings deep domain experience to fast-growing region.

Johannesburg, 11 Jul 2007

Infor recently announced that Keith Deane has been promoted to president of Infor's operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Deane was formerly the senior vice-president sales of EMEA. In his new role, Deane will be responsible for sales and services for all Infor products in EMEA, fostering continued growth of the company's substantial footprint across the region, which makes up nearly half of the company's total business.

Since joining Infor in 2005, Deane has led Infor's European operations, helping grow business in the region from around $200 million in revenue to almost $1 billion.

An industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, he began his IT career in 1978 as an analyst/programmer, then became interested in the commercial side of the industry, moving into sales and management positions for leading IT companies over the next two decades. He joined Infor from WebMethods, where he was senior vice-president. Prior to that, he was vice-president and general manager with BEA Systems.

"Infor has consistently grown its presence in EMEA by focusing on customer needs and delivering business-specific solutions for the industries in which they operate," said Deane. "As we grow our business in the region, it's important that we provide a local presence and experienced people to support our customers and their extended enterprises wherever they are."

"Infor is coming off the strongest fiscal year in our company's history, and the company continues to grow globally," says Jim Schaper, Infor's chairman and CEO. "We are very pleased to have Keith Deane at the forefront of our business in one of our strongest markets."

Across EMEA, Keith Deane is supported by a number of regional or senior vice-presidents, including Trevor Smith for UK and Ireland, Benoit de la Tour for southern Europe, Josef Eisenkolb for Central Europe, Wolfgang Kobek for Infor's independent business units in EMEA, Steven Rees-Pullman for the overall channel business in EMEA, Bob Fedorciow for global accounts, Ian Walker for human capital management and customer relationship management solutions and Thibault de Clisson for professional services in EMEA.

With Infor's products distributed locally and throughout sub-Saharan Africa by Softworx, this EOH company is looking forward to Deane's contribution and wishes him every success in his new role.
