CA Southern Africa makes two key appointments

Software company CA Southern Africa has made two key appointments.

The company has appointed Michael Brink as chief technology officer Andrea Lodolo becomes chief operations officer.

Prior to the Broadcom acquisition, CA was ranked as one of the largest independent software corporations in the world. The company creates systems software and applications software that runs in mainframe, distributed computing, virtual machine, cloud computing environments, mobile devices and the Internet of things.

Previously, Brink was a solution strategist at CA Southern Africa. The company says he was responsible for the delivery of solutions that assisted organisations to increase their business agility, unlock digital growth opportunities and fast-track their digital transformation journey.

“I am excited about the appointment. This is a great career advancement for me and I am looking forward to all the challenges it may bring,” says Brink.

“In my new role, I will be assisting our customers to leverage technologies to add business value and to underpin the acceleration and scale of digital transformation for customers. I will also manage the pre-sales function in the company.”

He points out that in his capacity as CTO, his goals include streamlining the organisation, enhancing sales support sales, taking the company’s product set to the market and driving the strategic intent of the business.

“We are busy finalising our strategies for the upcoming period and I intend to be instrumental in the successful roll out of these plans.”

Brink has 20 years’ experience working in the technology industry. He studied advanced technology studies at the University of South Africa.

In a career that spans in excess of 35 years’ in the ICT arena, Lodolo has occupied senior technical and operations roles in the industry. Prior to this appointment, he was CTO of CA Southern Africa. He joined CA in 1996 and has held various executive positions in the company.

In his capacity as COO, Lodolo will be responsible for the successful operations of the business and the formulation of growth strategies aimed at taking it to the next level to meet the expectations of both the company and its customers.
