MyAbsa is an exciting new service which is accessible to clients on the Absa Internet Banking site. This service enables you to view a consolidated portfolio of your Absa held-banking and financial services investment products in a single showing.
The first phase of MyAbsa is Investments. This is where we will be consolidating your investment accounts into a single easy-to-access display. In addition to your investment account portfolio, you will also be able to access market statistics and financial news from within MyAbsa.
"Our objective is to provide our clients with a comprehensive view of all their online services where they can browse through our wide range of product offerings and access detailed information on our products," said Christo Vrey, General Manager of Absa Digital Channels.
The MyAbsa tab can be found on the main menu bar on Internet Banking next to Specialised Services. Initially, you will be able to view those accounts held with:
* Absa Fund Managers
* Absa Stockbrokers Online Share Trading
* Absa Investment Management Services (AIMS)
The Investment portfolio section displays balances of your Absa Unit Trust account, Absa Stockbrokers Online Share Trading and AIMS investment portfolio. To view your Online Share Trading and AIMS portfolio in MyAbsa, you will be required to link the respective accounts. Your Absa Unit Trust portfolio is displayed automatically and does not require linking. You will be able to get a breakdown of the accounts in your portfolio in the Total Investment Portfolio section.
MyAbsa also provides you with the latest prices from the JSE on a delayed time basis. You can also see changes from the previous day`s closing prices.
The service provides you with access to the most recent news alerts from the Stock Exchange News Service (SENS) as well as the latest business and financial news. You may also tailor the type of news articles that you would like to see by clicking on the Customise link.
Alan Miller, Managing Executive, Absa Investment Services, had this to say about the new enhancement: "Initially, customers will see details of their investments at current market valuations. They can already transact online in respect of Absa Stockbrokers. The next stage will be to extend this transactional capability to Absa Fund Managers and AIMS. Ultimately, our customers will be able to buy and sell investments across our spectrum of investment products."
