IAUG returns to in-person events in SA

The South Africa Chapter of the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) will host events on 8 November in Johannesburg and 10 November in Cape Town, the first in-person IAUG meetings held in the country since 2019.

Running from 9am to 7:30pm, both events will provide a full day of customer stories, partner presentations and networking opportunities followed by an evening reception. Brett Butler, Managing Director of Avaya in southern Africa, will provide a business update on Avaya in South Africa, and will be discussing the importance of ‘innovation without disruption’ in today’s digital economy.

“The majority of our customers are all virtually on some form of cloud journey, and the majority want elements of innovation that can be provided by the cloud. What’s more, they want the ability to provide innovation at the pace at which they’re ready to consume it without disrupting what’s underneath – not a complete rip and replace. And that’s the sort of innovation that we’ll be highlighting to our users at the event,” said Butler.

At 16 000 users strong, the IAUG is one of the world's largest international organisations for communications technology professionals. As the forum for the global Avaya customer community, IAUG provides a voice and resource for Avaya customers everywhere. IAUG is by customers, for customers. Chapter events provide a platform for Avaya users to connect and work together to troubleshoot, network and learn.
