ITWeb has announced that Axiz, an industry-leading IT value-added distributor, has come on board as a sponsor of Micro Focus Universe 2018, a full-day event that will be held on 6 September at the Inanda Club, in Sandton.
The event is Micro Focus's first local customer conference as a combined company since it merged with Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) software business, and aims to help experience how the company can help them address their toughest challenges in this hybrid IT world, says Magda Hanekom, Micro Focus business unit manager at Axiz.
She says her organisation has had a long history with Micro Focus, going back to Novell days. "Axiz is also the only distributor in South Africa that distributes all the products in the Micro Focus stack."
Hanekom says being involved in events like these helps Axiz to position itself as a true value-added reseller with a proven track record. "In addition, events like these educate and enable not only the partner community, but the end-user market on leading technology available to them."
It also serves as a valuable networking platform for new partners to engage with existing partners, she says. She believes delegates who attend this event will gain a clear understanding of Micro Focus and where the company is going, and will ultimately be able to use the content presented to facilitate a discussion with key players in the market.

The morning programme will feature an exciting keynote address, as well as an introduction to the Micro Focus vision, strategy and innovations in DevOps, security and risk management, assessments and predictive analytics.
Attendees will be able to 'deep dive' into the company's solutions during various sessions that will focus specifically on their area of expertise, including apps, DevOps, IT operations management, identity and access management, GDPR, security and information governance.
