With a view to growing its current offering to customers and expanding into the coastal region of the South African market, XContent Business Solutions, a Microsoft Gold partner, has acquired the IT Business sector of Auric Consulting, a Silver Microsoft partner, effective 1 February 2020.
“It was a natural fit,” said Danie de Lange, Managing Director of XContent. “Both companies have a firm focus on Microsoft Cloud, specifically within the Office 365 and the Azure space. Combining this focus with knowledgeable teams and technical skills within both operations, we knew it was the right move.”
XContent can now offer an additional service of POPI (Protection of Personal Information) consulting and readiness by drawing on the local experience and resources within Auric.
“Both Bruce Fennessy, the Managing Director of Auric Consulting, and I could see the value in the acquisition, and it wasn’t a long process to ensure that we started 2020 with a bang,” said De Lange.

De Lange discussed how XContent has just obtained Gold Certification for Security from Microsoft and has added Teams Voice and Teams Managed Room Systems to its offering.
“We are excited by our continued growth within the Microsoft space in South Africa. We have been working hard to ensure that we are at the top of our game and that we remain there,” added De Lange.
When pushed for additional plans, both De Lange and Fennessy replied in unison: “Watch this space.”
It appears there are interesting, positive developments on the horizon for the teams at XContent and Auric.
