Local ICT giant BCX has come on board as the Platinum Sponsor of the ITWeb Cloud Summit 2019, to be held on 12 February at The Forum, in Bryanston.
"The ITWeb Cloud Summit is an important milestone for IT transformation for both BCX and its customers, and partnership with ITWeb on this event creates a perfect platform to demonstrate our capability in this area," says Nkosi Kumalo, managing executive of sales at BCX, who will be presenting on: 'The role of cloud computing in addressing SME challenges in South Africa' at the event.
"IDC's Cloudview 2018 report found private cloud and hosted/outsourced cloud represent 53% of the overall IT budget, which emphasises the importance of cloud to our customers," Kumalo says.

According to Kumalo, South African economic growth has slowed down in the past few years and IT has a critical role to play in driving the economic transformation agenda. "Events like these are valuable in helping both public and private sector companies to find innovative and cost-effective ways to execute their business strategies by leveraging on technology.
"ITWeb Cloud Summit 2019 provides a good opportunity to network with experts and industry colleagues to share experiences on how best to navigate the business and technology challenges that one company may be facing in its environment," he says.
