IFS recently announced a new member to its team – Emma Murray. The new Managing Director for the Africa Market unit has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry. She has a wealth of experience in bringing new solutions and offerings to the market across enterprise businesses in both the private and public sector.

Murray’s passion lies in building top performing teams and finding new and better ways of meeting an ever-evolving world of customer needs through technologies and empowering people to use them. She has a strong belief that people are infinitely more capable than they think they are – and it’s only when you’re called on to perform what you believe is an impossible task that you truly find out what real potential is.

As sales director at Microsoft, she delivered significant revenue and market share growth for both the Mining & Resources as well the Retail & Manufacturing industry units. Prior to that, she was the senior Vice-President for Middle East and Africa at Software AG.

She’s also an entrepreneur, having built her own business that launched new technology solutions into the Africa market in the retail sector. Stemming from this success, she founded GK Software Africa for the German software company.

Murray holds an MBA from Henley Business School, with her focus being on innovation and business strategy.

She lives in Johannesburg with her husband, three kids and four dogs, and enjoys running early in the morning before the working day.
