Rittal SA on Friedhelm Loh Group once again being recognised as a Top Employer

Belonging to a top international employer is a great achievement; it brings with it its own benefits and prestige. Dedicating itself to not only creating satisfied customers, but also motivated employees speaks volumes about a leading international company.

Johannesburg, 18 May 2018

For the 10th year in a row, the Top Employers Institute has honoured the Friedhelm Loh Group as one of Germany's best employers. During a rigorous investigation process, the family-owned enterprise scored top marks in 2018, with exceptional employee orientation, such as establishing modern working conditions and offering extensive training projects.

As a result, the Friedhelm Loh Group can deservedly call itself a "Top German Employer" again. The family-owned enterprise is at home locally in Haiger and worldwide, with everyone working together to ensure the company's success. This is because innovation and international growth play just as large a role as tradition and community.

Back home in South Africa, the group's values, social commitment and training of employees too remains top of the priority list and allows the company to remain as credible as it is. Managing Director for Rittal South Africa, Jacques Klopper, explains that the group being voted one of the best employers in Germany once again highlights the emphasis the company places on the training and development of its people.

"As a company built on ever-changing innovations, we recognise the need to not only focus on R&D, but on our people too. We are pleased that Rittal remains an attractive environment for current and prospective employees," he says.

Klopper explains the nomination process, saying: "Since 1991, the Top Employers Institute has been honouring exemplary employers worldwide that put staff first. Based on extensive analyses, the institute awards businesses with an outstanding human resources management and strategy that are committed to ensuring that their employees can develop both personally and professionally. Companies have to meet high requirements in a number of distinct categories and undergo a rigorous process of certification."

With this accolade under the group's belt once again, what's next? "The aim for the future is to continue preparing employees for new challenges that will arise in connection with digitisation and Industry 4.0 in the world of work. It's a very exciting time for Rittal and the broader industry!" concludes Klopper.
