ELO Digital Office to serve African ECM market from Johannesburg

ECM provider ELO Digital Office has established a subsidiary in South Africa. ELO has been active on the continent for several years, with multiple sales partners. As project business has increased significantly, in South Africa especially, the company has decided to establish a branch in Johannesburg to better meet growing demand.

Companies from all over the world work with products from ELO Digital Office. The German-based ECM provider relies on a global sales network of system vendors and IT consultants, as well as subsidiaries on all continents, with South Africa most recently joining the list. “We've had partners all across Africa for years, from Egypt to Nigeria to Tanzania,” states ELO CEO Karl Heinz Mosbach. “The demand for digital technologies and services is constantly growing in Africa. And from an economic perspective, South Africa in particular offers great potential. Establishing a subsidiary was the next logical step.” He adds: “This way, we are close to our customers and can provide them with the best possible support in their digitalisation efforts.”

In South Africa, ELO software is primarily used in the energy and utilities industries, but also in the banking sector and by non-profit organisations. Kevin Nono, managing director of ELO Africa, who has African roots and has considered both continents his home for years, explains: “Until now, African companies have mainly focused on digital archiving. The numerous functions and benefits offered by ECM systems are not well-known. But South Africa is a driving force in digitalisation. Our market conditions are excellent, evidenced by the increasing number of project requests.

The new office of ELO Digital Office Africa (Pty) Ltd.is located in Johannesburg. “This is where Africa’s economic strength comes together,” says Kevin Nono. “We can provide existing and new partners with outstanding support and benefit from the comprehensive virtual training offering from headquarters in Germany.” This offering was expanded significantly last year: “We’ve quadrupled the number of virtual courses for our international locations and partners,” explains Mosbach, “so ELO Africa is in the perfect position to get off to an excellent start.”
