Legiant unveils new IVR solution

Legiant, provider of time and attendance systems, has taken its Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to the next level, states TMC net.

Its new IVR solution will benefit companies with employees working from the road or in remote locations by using GPS tracking on their mobile devices.

According to iNews Connect, IVR allows employees to clock-in, transfer departments, and credit work hours directly to Legiant Timecard through the use of any standard telephone or mobile phone. The new GPS transaction feature is available on most Android, BlackBerry and iPhone smartphones.

Sony has thrown its hat into the 3D ring by introducing the Sony VAIO F-Series laptop at CES 2011, says PC Mag.

The F Series offers 3D technology via a built-in 3D sync transmitter. It also comes bundled with 3D Active glasses and a 3D button that enables users to convert 2D HD video and Blu-ray to 3D video in real time.

The F Series sports a 16-inch widescreen display with a 1 920 x 1 080 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. It also has a Blu-ray drive and Sony's S-Force Front Surround 3D system.

Algorithmic Research (ARX), a provider of digital signature solutions, has released the SharePoint digital signatures trial, a free 30-day trial in which organisations using SharePoint can test and verify digital signatures within a personalised SharePoint sandbox environment, reports Benzinga.

The CoSign digital signatures for SharePoint free trial enables browser-based signing of PDF files located directly in SharePoint Document Libraries, as well as the ability for users to digitally sign SharePoint List Items.

With these capabilities and others, Microsoft SharePoint users can enjoy fully automated business processes, even through the approval stage. This enables them to bypass the time-consuming and costly processes of printing, routing, and archiving paper documents for signature approvals.
