Softline ACCPAC support in Africa grows through AccTech Systems

Johannesburg, 28 Jun 2006

A year after announcing its intention to focus on growing Accpac users in Africa, Softline ACCPAC 2005 business partner of the year, AccTech Systems has established representation in six South African provinces and six African countries. This makes AccTech Systems and its group of Alliance partners vital players in the provision of quality Accpac implementation and support in extensive areas of the continent.

"With more than 200 business partners across the African continent, the Accpac channel of resellers is well equipped to manage the increasing number of requests for our ERP product range," says Jeremy Waterman, managing director of Softline ACCPAC.

"Experience in managing major sites is something that some of the smaller African business partners struggle with, but the AccTech Alliance model is providing essential skills transfer to these partners."

AccTech Systems was nominated as a finalist in the category 'Exporter of the year' for the annual 'Proudly South African Homegrown Awards'. MD, Tertius Zitzke, says: "This nomination was based on our African alliance model and we are pleased that our clients throughout the continent will benefit from the extended support offered through our alliance partners."

"It has been an exciting time for the AccTech Systems," says James Chona, managing director of AccTech Zambia. "We are being approached by current Zambian Accpac clients hungry for quality business analysis and product support."

Having just returned from a week's intense product training at AccTech's Accpac Accounting Academy in South Africa, Chona acknowledges that the skills gained will be invaluable to their client base. "We are now planning a series of certified Accpac product training seminars in Zambia with the assistance of AccTech's certified business consultants. The seminars will provide a much needed influx of knowledge to the Zambian market."

Marc Gower, general manager of the AccTech Alliance, agrees: "The only way to provide African wide support is through a channel of skilled and confident alliance partners. Our African training roadshow will enable current and prospective clients to be trained in essential business skills as well as Accpac product specific skills.

Gower says AccTech Systems is one of only a few Softline ACCPAC Certified Training Partners: "African clients always value certified training courses and we are very excited to roll-out these sessions at all our regional offices."
