HP Software appoints channel manager

Johannesburg, 04 Jul 2011

HP has appointed Clive Brindley as software channel manager for HP SA, effective from 1 August.

He takes over the role from Norbert Gachet, the incumbent software channel manager, who will leave HP at the end of July to pursue other opportunities.

“I have been working closely with the partner community for the past four years and for me, this is a natural evolution from my current role, albeit now in a more official capacity,” he says.

Brindley joined HP in 2007 and previously held the roles of solution architect and pre-sales manager in HP's Business Technology Optimisation business, within HP Software.

Praveen Govender, HP Software SA country manager, says the appointment is in line with the company's strategy to create new opportunities for staff members.

HP says Brindley has worked within the ICT infrastructure management domain for over 15 years, focusing on delivering service management solutions to customers worldwide.

His experience spans solution design, to quality management at enterprise management software providers, it adds.

HP is not the only IT organisation making changes in its channel. This month, HP's distribution partner Comztek appointed two new channel managers - Michael Kruger and Colleen du Toit.
