Technodyn International, the exclusive strategic partner for global cloud enterprise software company IFS in sub-Saharan Africa, has extended its OEM partner network after partnering with Boomi, an intelligent connectivity and automation company and category leader in integration platform as a service (iPaaS).

The partners said businesses operating in the new digital application economy require technology that simplifies operations, automates application and system integration and increases efficiency.

This demand is driving growth in the iPaaS market, the companies claim, because “software acts as the glue businesses need between their applications and data”.

Kate Queiroz, chief commercial officer at Technodyn International, says according to research by The Insight Partners, the iPaaS market in MEA is expected to grow from US$87.41 million in 2021 to US$206.95 million by 2028.

“Perhaps more notably, it is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 13.1% in this timeframe. This highlights both interest in technology and growing comfort and trust in its application in a business,” says Queiroz.

She adds that Boomi was also recently named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Cloud Integration Software and Services (iPaaS) 2023 Vendor Assessment.

The report states: “Integration is a foundational connectivity automation technology that not only unlocks immediate business benefits but also replaces technical debt that was previously used to connect applications, making it easier to replace outdated legacy applications.”

In 2021, the global iPaaS market was valued at US$3.4 billion and is projected to reach US$37.9 billion by 2031, according to Allied Market Research.

Technodyn and Boomi believe their alliance will ensure each business can expand their footprints and leverage this market growth.

"We are absolutely delighted to be working with Boomi to grow our collective regional presence. Effective iPaaS solutions are critical in the cloud economy and a vital component of simplifying integration for companies looking to connect their apps and data better," says Queiroz. “The Technodyn team sees a genuine need for proven iPaaS solutions to assist African companies that are tired of the disparate nature of their IT real estate holding them back from benefiting from the real potential of the cloud.”

Queiroz adds that the need to have consistent, accurate access to up-to-date data is driving the adoption of iPaaS solutions.

Research from The Insight Partners says the hybrid cloud market is expected to surge ahead at a CAGR 30.7% between 2021 and 2028.

“But again, this all requires integration, especially for companies that currently operate a hybrid application environment with some legacy applications and some hosted solely in the cloud,” says Queiroz.

The primary benefit of deploying an iPaaS solution is that it offers seamless integration and ensures the connection of all applications regardless of where they are hosted, Queiroz continues.

“We see a real need among customers across Africa for greater scalability and flexibility. Africa is a continent born from innovation and Boomi’s brand of iPaaS solutions acts as a reliable basis from which to drive the efficiency and automation that innovation-based projects require,” Queiroz adds. “As an OEM partner to other vendors in the region, Technodyn understands the very exacting needs of partners in Africa and will marry this knowledge with Boomi’s requirements to provide customers with the tools they need to achieve a seamless user experience across all of their platforms.”

Ahmed El Hamouly, head of META at Boomi, says: “Our partnership with Technodyn International presents a unique opportunity for customers in the region. I am looking forward to working with the company as we jointly aim to help organisations more quickly and easily realise their digital transformation goals.”
