Intelligent IT software solutions company, ITR Technology (ManageEngine South Africa), has come on board as silver sponsor for the ITWeb Security Summit 2020, which will be held as a virtual event from 25 to 28 August 2020.

Sally-Anne Robertson, who heads up marketing and communications for ITR Technology, says as IT professionals begin to navigate the new normal in technology, it is more critical than ever that IT teams are able to engage the larger IT community as a whole.

“IT security and, in particular, cloud security and remote working will continue to be in the spotlight as digitalisation drives business growth and a shift towards larger workforce decentralisation,” she says.

“The transformation of the ITWeb Security Summit to its virtual nature replicates the same message, the need to adapt and transform with the sole focus on IT security.”

Robertson believes that delegates will leave the Security Summit with a combination of conceptual ideas matched with practical implementations to strengthen their IT security postures. “More importantly, they will leave with the confidence that they are part of a larger IT community who face similar challenges, forming bigger networks to find better solutions.”

Angela Mace, CRM and events director of ITWeb, says cyber security is evolving rapidly, particularly in light of the global pandemic, and the slew of new threats that businesses face today.

“As a leader in intelligent software solutions, ITR Technology (ManageEngine South Africa) is perfectly placed to help local businesses navigate the ‘new normal’ when it comes to simplifying IT infrastructure software, particularly in light of all the changes and developments we are seeing across the board. Organisations of every type and size are looking to secure themselves from a growing number of threats, coming from adversaries who are more advanced and determined than ever. The summit aims to help them do exactly that,” she says.

Mace says with the ITWeb Security Summit 2020 being held as a virtual event, delegates will be able to access the content from the comfort of their own homes or offices, cutting out travel time, and will be able to pop in and out of sessions as they wish, without disrupting anyone. “They can juggle work deadlines with the sessions that appeal to them the most, and do not need to choose between sessions as all conference materials and recordings can be accessed online,” she ends.
