Oracle Fusion HCM simplifies HR

Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) has a value proposition for the entire workforce; it allows for both talent management and employee engagement, says Rosie Warner, HCM solutions specialist, Oracle EMEA.

Oracle's customers are leaning towards the Ulrich HR transformation model, which means the organisation needs to be able to manage change, Warner said. Fusion HCM enables strategic workforce management, as it has been designed for everyone in the workforce - managers, HR professionals and employees can all use the tool, with varying degrees of access to information, depending on their roles within the organisation, Warner explained.

Fusion HCM includes applications with flexible deployment options and gives customers the ability to extend their existing HR applications, regardless of whether they are modules or entire suites, Warner said.

Workforce predictions, payroll and benefits, compensation management, as well as talent and goal management, are some of the functionalities embedded in the software. It also includes a workforce social media-type tool, called Network at Work, which allows employees to interact with each other.

HR is becoming an integral part of business, and with the option to move certain functions to the cloud, it can add value to many organisations, Warner said.

Warner was a speaker at Oracle's Human Capital Management roundtable, held yesterday in Johannesburg.
