Belgravium wins British Airways contract

Data capture specialist, Belgravium (BVM) has landed a major deal to supply British Airways with its on-board retail software system, Growth Company reports.

The news follows a contract win by leading in-flight duty-free operator Tourvest with British Airways, which in turn opted to use Novo - a wholly owned division of AIM-listed Belgravium.

DFNI Online says the system was specified, designed, tested and successfully implemented in the four months since Tourvest was appointed.

Its in-flight retail solution, SkyPOS, will interface with Tourvest's ground-based system to offer the airline a system capable of managing complex special retail offers and detailed product information.

British Airways serves 165 destinations and more than 75 countries, in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa and North and South America, The Moodie Report notes.

Novo's Tim Clifford said: "We are pleased to announce that we have successfully delivered a reliable, intuitive and powerful point-of-sale system, which will enable Tourvest to enhance their unquestionable retail and logistic expertise with advanced management information in order to provide British Airways with the product mix befitting a world-leading airline."
