Mavenir Systems emerges as a top supplier as VoLTE drives IMS network growth

Mavenir Systems (NYSE:MVNR), a leading provider of software-based networking solutions, announced today that it is among the top five most installed IMS infrastructure vendors recognised by operators in Infonetics Research's IMS Services Strategies and Vendor Leadership: Global Service Provider Survey.

"The exponential growth in mobile devices and mobile traffic is putting greater demands on existing networks. Operators are looking for ways to improve their network efficiency and costs. Infonetics analyst and author of the survey Diane Myers added: "VoLTE is a top driver for installing IMS, with 86% of the carriers we surveyed saying that they will deploy VoLTE by 2016. Another driving factor is the desire to offer converged services over multiple devices. Additionally, operators we interviewed are expressing the desire to run IMS networks in an NFV environment."
