Asher Bohbot clinches IT Personality of the Year Award
Asher Bohbot, CEO of EOH, has been announced as the IT Personality of the Year for 2011.
It has certainly been a very exciting year for EOH, one of South Africa's top three IT service providers and largest enterprise applications provider in South Africa.
The fact that Asher Bohbot, CEO of EOH, has been announced as the winner of the IT Personality of the Year Award for 2011 and recognised as a top achiever in the IT industry further bolsters the list of accolades the company is earning.
“I am indeed very honoured to have been named as the IT Personality of the Year title,” says Bohbot.
On the back of EOH's impressive annual results that were published in September, the group is focusing efforts to further grow its cloud computing solutions, make inroads into the public sector, business process outsourcing (BPO) and Africa offerings. Bohbot, however, strongly believes that the success of EOH is attributable to the people that are employed by the company. “People are at the heart of any business, and it is therefore important to employ excellent people that will build the company, which is one of our key philosophies at EOH,” says Bohbot.
It is this type of visionary thinking that has seen EOH deliver 13 years of continued compounded annual growth in excess of 40%. EOH was also ranked fourth in this year's Financial Mail Top 200 Companies survey.
“I would like to commend the Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA), in association with ITWeb, the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Gartner Africa in the creation of a platform to promote talent, leadership, vision and commitment of individuals and organisations within the IT industry. An event such as this creates a standard in the industry that all can strive and work towards, which ultimately uplifts the ICT sector in South Africa,” says Bohbot.
Bohbot concludes that the recognition is not a personal one, but one for EOH and all the people that represent the company.
