Johannesburg, 05 Dec 2006
Today, at its ninth annual business and technology conference, Citrix iForum Global 2006, Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, Inc, the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, announced the industry's first on-demand solution for do-it-yourself Web events, Citrix GoToWebinar, garnered top awards from LAPTOP Magazine, TMC Labs and leading industry analyst firm Frost & Sullivan for its innovative simplicity.
Recognised for its ease-of-use and All-You-Can Reach flat-rate plan, GoToWebinar delivers an easy and affordable solution for marketing, sales and training professionals to conduct online events, such as large sales presentations and marketing events over the Web.
"GoToWebinar offers a category-breaking solution for planning, presenting and managing the process of delivering Web events to reach audiences online," said LAPTOP Magazine, October 2006. "Citrix Online is delivering tremendous power at a very modest price with GoToWebinar."
Capturing the attention of TMC Labs for its "raw innovation that competitors' solutions lack," GoToWebinar earned top accolades for its unique approach.
"GoToWebinar makes it easy to conduct Web events instantly while handling up to an astonishing 1 000 users, making it perhaps the most scalable solution in the market," said Tom Keating, CTO and Labs editorial director at TMC.
GoToWebinar also won Frost & Sullivan's 2006 "Best New Web Conferencing Service" award. The service was described as representing "an emerging class of Webinar products."
GoToWebinar was praised for its "simpler is better" philosophy and flat-fee pricing that promise to expand adoption of Web events by small and medium businesses, which have previously been precluded from holding Webinars because of high costs and complexity. Citrix Online won this award in 2005, as well, for Citrix GoToMeeting.
A simple three-step process for setting up GoToWebinar eliminates the need for IT expertise, allowing novices and veterans alike to quickly and easily set up effective online events. "All-You-Can-Reach" licensing includes application sharing, annotation tools, desktop session-recording and playback, and one-click attendee entry in addition to planning, presentation and reporting.
"We are honoured to be recognised by three prestigious organisations - LAPTOP Magazine, TMC Labs and analyst firm, Frost & Sullivan - for our 'simpler-is-better' approach with GoToWebinar," said Nick Keene, Citrix Systems country manager. "As with all of our real-time access and collaboration offerings, we designed GoToWebinar to deliver unparalleled ease-of-use and the built-in marketing tools that enable individuals and small businesses to conduct professional-quality Web events that empower them to compete with any size rival."
Citrix Online's award-winning services are used by more than 20 000 businesses and hundreds of thousands of individual subscribers. These on demand services include: Citrix GoToMyPC for remote PC access; Citrix GoToAssist for live remote support; Citrix GoToMeeting for online meetings; and new Citrix GoToWebinar for do-it-yourself Web events.
Top awards from LAPTOP Magazine and TMC are just the latest in a series for Citrix Online services in 2006. Accolades also include LAPTOP's 2006 Ultimate Choice Award, PC World's World Class Award and CNET's Editors' Choice for Citrix GoToMyPC remote PC access, Communication Solutions Product of the Year Award for Citrix GoToMeeting for online meetings and TMC's CRM Excellence Award, TMC's IP Contact Center Pioneer Award and C3 Expo Best of Show Award for Citrix GoToAssist for live remote support.
