CS Holdings helps improve service delivery at Absa

By IT Public Relations
Johannesburg, 06 Nov 2002

CS Holdings has implemented a fully functional helpdesk at its Midrand premises to provide additional support to Absa staff undergoing training in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Windows NT software. The training follows the roll-out of NT-capable workstations to specific employees at Absa outlets countrywide.

"The helpdesk runs on the GEMS call management system, and is specifically geared to assisting users once they are back in their offices and have begun using the new software," explains CS Holdings` Leon Kitching.

"We chose CS Holdings because their offer made the most business sense," says Absa process owner Johan du Preez. "Besides cost-effective rates, they also provide monthly management information so that we can determine our future training needs, as well as information on the usage of the response centre service by staff members."

Du Preez says the implementation of the new software, as well as training therein is effectively improving Absa`s service delivery by enabling the financial institution to communicate electronically with its clients.
