EOH partners with Orion Health to streamline healthcare system in SA
EOH today announced a partnership with global health information exchange software company, Orion Health, to serve the private and public enterprise healthcare markets.
The two companies intend to broaden their footprint into Africa together. Through their unique partnership, the companies will co-engineer and go to market with world-class solutions that facilitate the streamlining of the healthcare experience and the secure, consensual sharing of patient healthcare data between clinicians, healthcare providers and other medical administrators.
Simon Just, Managing Executive of EOH, says: "EOH has been leading the way in the local market for ICT services in the healthcare sector for some time. Our partnership with Orion Health will bring vast global intellectual property and experience to the benefit of the African healthcare industry."
Orion Health brings a wealth of experience and global best practice in health data exchange. The global company empowers health organisations to provide integrated and connected health systems, which improve healthcare outcomes for both individuals and the population as a whole. Orion Health has implemented 45 large scale solutions, which are deployed in 30 countries.
Dr Dave Dembo, General Manager of Orion Health, says: "A strong partnership between Orion Health and EOH offers international best practice with an understanding of the local healthcare industry coupled with systems integration excellence."
The Orion Health platform, Amadeus, utilises modern technologies and optimisation techniques to implement a flexible health information exchange solution. This provides rapid access to patient information, enabling improved patient outcomes, enhanced patient safety and quality of care. This will set the stage for a national scale analytics-driven transformation of the healthcare system and drive down system costs for patients and stakeholders.
The EOH and Orion Health partnership has the opportunity to work together to deliver health IT solutions that South Africa needs to engage patients, empower care teams, optimise clinical and operational effectiveness, and transform the care continuum.
