Multinational telecom Orange on Wednesday debuted its Entrepreneur Club as "a new space for information in French and English devoted to entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East".

The Entrepreneur Club Web site hosts a variety of educational resources aimed at entrepreneurs, such as how-to sheets and best practices. The platform aims to transmit lessons from experienced entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East about the problems they have encountered and how they have overcome them. It also hosts technical articles from specialised journalists, and practical advice from lawyers.

The Web site also promotes the selection of Orange products and services available to entrepreneurs. The telecom claims it "collaborates with [entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East] on a daily basis by giving them access to quality voice and data services".

Orange also hosts the Orange African Social Venture Prize, which aims to encourage technology-focused entrepreneurship to boost social development, and works with a number of localised incubators on the continent.
