CA Southern Africa has announced that CA Technologies has received SC Magazine's 2012 Reader Trust Award for Best Identity Management Application.
The award was presented at the SC Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the annual RSA Conference, in San Francisco.
CA Technologies won the award for Best Identity Management Application after proving the success and overall impact of CA IdentityMinder to the Reader Trust Voting Panel.
According to Ugan Naidoo, head of security business unit at CA Southern Africa, CA IdentityMinder helps organisations meet security and compliance requirements, while improving operational efficiencies by automating identity-related processes throughout the enterprise - from the mainframe to the cloud and across employees, contractors, partners and customers.
“Winning the SC Magazine Reader Trust Award for Best Identity Management Solution is a testament to CA's ongoing commitment to leadership and innovation in IT security,” says Naidoo. “Our Content-Aware IAM approach to security ushers in the next generation of identity and access management to more granularly link identity and access policies to data content.”
Winners were chosen by SC Magazine readers, who include high-level IT security executives (CISOs, CIOs, VPs, etc) working for organisations of all sizes across various markets, including finance, healthcare, government, education and more. Functionality, manageability, ease-of-use and scalability of the product or service, as well as customer service, are considered during the judging process.
“Our readers are on the frontlines of information security, and they have recognised CA Technologies' CA IdentityMinder as one of their key tools for securing their organisation,” said Illena Armstrong, vice-president and editorial director, SC Magazine. “Without leaders in innovation, like CA Technologies, we would not be able to plan for the future of enterprise security.”
