Esquire Technologies, one of the leading distributors in southern Africa of IT, mobility, digital and consumer lifestyle products, has announced that since landing the distribution rights to Boss Audio Systems earlier this year, sales have been "robust and ahead of projections".
Boss Audio is a leading manufacturer of mobile electronics equipment, including for the vehicle and marine markets.
Asgar Mahomed, MD of Esquire Technologies, said the deal with Boss Audio Systems forms part of the company's aim to become the leading lifestyle-focused computer distributor in South Africa.
"We started off with the sale of their vehicle audio systems - which are among the most popular in the world. We are also going to focus on their marine range of products, as this range is very much aimed at an untapped market here in South Africa."
The marine product range includes amplifiers, in-dash solutions, sub-woofers, UTV products, wakertower speakers, speakers and accessories.
When it comes to products for the vehicle market, Boss Audio supplies mobile video, amplifiers, signal processors, tweeters, speakers, sub-woofers and accessories.
"The entire range is available to our more than 10 000 resellers, who will be able to access all stock via our Virtual Reseller Network (VRN)."
He said besides being available on its home-grown VRN - which has thus far cost R10 million to develop - the products are also available at all e-commerce stores where Esquire has a presence.
