To help EMEA enterprises mitigate risk and secure a newly-remote workforce, Fortinet offers a free on-demand webinar outlining the current threat landscape. The webinar is one of a series of educational online events staged by Fortinet’s cyber security specialists around the world, to help organisations adapt to the new normal of remote work, amid a rapidly changing cyber risks.

“While providing secure remote access for employees has long been a key focus for IT teams, supporting a fully remote workforce with little to no notice has complicated matters,” says Doros Hadjizenonos, regional sales director at Fortinet. “IT security teams can find themselves overwhelmed by considerations such as whether all remote users need the same capabilities, whether the existing infrastructure can support and scale to the new remote workforce, and how the cloud can be leveraged to gain speed and agility.”

In addition to facing business continuity concerns, IT security teams must contend with the changing threat landscape. “Fortinet’s FortiGuard Labs, tracking billions of security events each day, have monitored a significant spike in the number of new threats amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Hadjizenonos. The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdowns have dramatically changed the cyber risk landscape, with cyber criminals across the globe quickly taking advantage of new vulnerabilities, Fortinet says.

Fortinet’s on-demand webinar, designed for enterprises across all segments and verticals, will update participants on the current threats and on solutions available to reduce risk.

The free online briefing will feature an update by Derek Manky, Chief, Security Insights & Global Threat Alliances at Fortinet , who will discuss recent findings from the FortiGuard Labs team in the past weeks. It will also include presentations by Aamir Lahkani - Global Security Strategist and Lead Researcher for FortiGuard Labs, and Peter Newton - Senior Director, Products & Solutions at Fortinet, moderating.

The panellists will outline how the threat landscape is changing in the face of the pandemic, how threat actors are successfully compromising networks around the world, and what measures should be taken to ensure business continuity and mitigate cyber risk.
