PCMS extends partnership with redPanda Software

Cape Town-based redPanda Software and PCMS, a point-of-sale software business, have extended their partnership by adding sales and implementation to redPanda Software's current development role.

Peter Ludi, PCMS country executive for Africa and Australia, says the company is on an 'ambitious growth path for 2019' and will be focusing a lot more on building its client base outside Europe and the US.

"Over the past three years, redPanda Software has become an integral part of our operation, with three full development teams working in Cape Town and another soon to be added. They have excellent relationships with our clients and adding sales and implementation to their role is a natural next step," he adds.

Gareth Hawkey, redPanda Software Group CEO, says that as his organisation had been part of the development team, it understands PCMS's software and can implement it for new and existing clients, with custom development and configuration.

Hawkey says PCMS's Vision Commerce Suite supports custom development for the largest retailers and offers an out-of-the-box application for smaller ones. It offers cloud support and was designed with customer experience in mind, which is key when trading conditions are tough.

According to Ludi, local retailers will benefit from having local sales, development and implementation support available from a single company.

PCMS's clients include Pick n Pay in South Africa, Prada and Ferragamo in Europe, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose in the UK, and Walgreens and Best Buy Mobile in the US.
