XON will stage the inaugural XON Networking Summit at Sun City, in October, as a platform to expose senior representatives of its customers, potential customers, service providers, enterprises and partners to best representative end-to-end solutions that solve communications challenges today.

The summit, themed "eXploring innOvative solutioNs", is an invitation-only, expenses-paid event that will provide formal and informal networking opportunities for key personalities and professionals, among them a selection of XON's customers that include some of the continent's most prestigious organisations as well as telecoms, Internet and mobile service providers.

"We're bringing together this ecosystem of businesses and solutions to explore pragmatic, cross-market and inter-company business opportunities that capitalise on technology advances today and the impact that this could have on the developing markets in Africa," says XON CEO, Carel Coetzee. "This is an industry where the network is the business and senior representatives and decision-makers from leading businesses would benefit immensely."

Juniper Networks, F5 and ADVA Optical Networking are the headline, platinum sponsors of the day-and-a-half summit. Allot Communications, Acme Packet, and Symantec are gold sponsors. Fortinet and AlgoSec are silver sponsors.

"We will have some of the country's leading service providers, vendors and value-added partners showcase capabilities, solutions and success stories as a vehicle for engagement, but at the core, this is a networking platform for people who want to do business in this space," says Coetzee.

XON is a level 3 certified BBEEE business that embraces social responsibility and upliftment.

The summit runs from 18 to 19 October.
