TFMC changes name to Bidvest Facilities Management

Total Facilities Management Company (TFMC) recently announced its name has changed to Bidvest Facilities Management as part of a growth strategy in line with the Bidvest Group.

The company, which is well known for its end-to-end total integrated facilities management services, is seen as a key driver of growth in Bidvest's Services Division. With this rebranding, Bidvest Facilities Management is refocusing and expanding its offering by unbundling its integrated facilities management package to provide additional, individual, customised solutions to a wider business market.

The company's CEO, Bruce Spence, said: "We have always had a strong presence in the facilities management industry, and as TFMC, we were FM leaders in South Africa. As Bidvest Facilities Management, we plan to build on this platform and expand even further. So we are really looking forward to taking this new brand to market. With these focused services, we are going to be penetrating into multiple business sectors with a more diverse client base, and we anticipate an enthusiastic response."

The company plans to continue providing its core traditional integrated facilities management services, but will increase its focus on these additional solutions during the course of the year. According to Derek Jack, the company's Chief Sales and Marketing Officer: "There is a high demand for these services. Business and property owners need facilities management solutions they can rely on even if they do not necessarily require the full integrated package for which we are known.

"Unbundling and customising our integrated package gives more clients access to the specific facilities services they need. Knowing their facilities are in skilled and experienced hands brings real peace of mind to business and property owners. We save them time, effort and unnecessary costs, which leaves them free to focus on their core business."

Bidvest Facilities Management's six new focused solutions are:

Telecommunications services - Maintenance and servicing of telecommunications facilities, including data centres, network buildings, telecommunications masts and towers and all network supporting infrastructure.

Structure integrity inspections - Integrity inspection services of structures that comply to statutory requirements, such as masts, towers billboards, etc, are offered countrywide with a conditioning assessment, which includes photo evidence and recommendations for remedial work and options to avoid major expenses as well a detailed inspection report.

Utilities management - An outsourced administration service which includes the end-to-end financial management of large volume utilities billing (currently doing 11 000 accounts per month), encompassing analysis, reporting, review and negotiation of tariff structures, including query and legal dispute resolution when necessary.

Training academy - A state-of-the-art technical training centre, MERSETA accredited, with various training initiatives offered to clients' facilities staff as well as the wider public.

Mobile generators - A large range of environmentally-friendly and super silent generators with 24-hour servicing, maintenance and refuelling support, even in remote areas.

Mobile maintenance - Basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general building maintenance on both a scheduled contract and a planned project basis by multi-skilled staff. It is suitable for all kinds of structures, from buildings, towers, street lights to mobile structures, and includes health, safety and environmental compliance.
