Far South Networks, the leading South African designer and manufacturer of IP telephony platforms, is a Silver Sponsor for Africa's most prominent VOIP communications conference, ConvergeSA 2014. The conference will take place at the Bytes Conference Centre, in Johannesburg, on 15 August 2014.
This one-day conference and networking event brings together the leaders in the South African converged communications industry. The event was formerly hosted under the name 'VoiceSA' as far back as 2010, and has proved its position as the leading professional communications conference in SA, with over 300 industry professionals attending. Now the event returns under the title ConvergeSA to encompass all elements of the converged communications industry.
"The telecommunications industry in South Africa has undergone massive transformation in the last decade, from constant change in the regulatory environment to rapid technology innovation in converged communications," says Adrian Bush, Director of Even Flow Distribution. "ConvergeSA is South Africa's only industry conference that explores the landscape of SA's evolving business communications industry."

Far South Networks' Technical Director, Michael Walton, will present a keynote address on one of the most significant disruptive technologies to emerge in the communications landscape, WebRTC and "how the WWW is transforming telecoms".
Business, breakthroughs and beers!
The event provides attendees with an opportunity to hear from the leading industry players on a wide range of topics, from what further changes we can expect in the regulatory environment to insight into what technology developments can be expected in the years to come. It also provides a unique opportunity to network and collaborate with other industry professionals. Not to mention the bonus of experiencing delicious craft beers and snacks afterwards.
