Business Analysis Summit 2016 organised for September

Rising demand for quality business analysts.

Johannesburg, 08 Jul 2016

Industry leader Faculty Training Institute will showcase the exceptional standards of training available to Business Analysts within local organisations at the upcoming Business Analysis event of the year, The BA Summit, the official annual conference of the SA Chapter of the IIBA.

Stephen Endersby, Corporate General Manager, says Faculty Training Institute (FTI) is held in high regard through its long standing association of 27 years with leading local and international players. He says FTI who is once again a gold sponsor at this event, has successfully established and maintained its position as the premier private training platform from where thought leaders and top recipients of quality training services are introduced into the work place.

FTI's foothold in the market as a leading trainer of business analysts at various levels across the industry, has led to a number of institutional accreditations including the MICT and Services Seta. FTI was the first local education provider to be endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis, and holds Charter status. FTI is also, inter alia, a registered education and training provider with the Project Management Institute, and a CPD provider with the SA Council for Educators and Consulting Engineers South Africa.

The BA Summit 2016 enjoys strong endorsement from FTI, both from a historic position and through its close support of this year's theme on the current state of the industry, as described by BA Summit: "We live in a world where change has become not only constant but necessary, a world where the need to innovate and reassess what business previously considered the norm, is essential to keep relevant."

Staying abreast of the challenges within this ever-changing environment is where the institute's primary role within a competitive industry comes to the fore. The applied value systems at FTI, says Endersby are implemented through the appointment of training specialists whose personal philosophies and training styles are closely aligned with that of the institute, to assist organisations to maintain relevance and induce change. He says this association not only applies to their roles in academia, but also as hands-on training specialists who offer FTI quality. The upshot for employers and employees is the delivery of highly regarded qualifications and specialist short courses and an overall offering that corporates and individuals would like to associate themselves with.

Such positive results are achieved through the fundamental value offered across FTI's business analysis qualifications and programmes. "Value that inherently resides in the way we impart knowledge in the class room, a rich immersive learning experience facilitating a deep understanding of the application of theory within the work environment," explains Endersby. "Irrespective of the fact that many of our delegates may already have a number of years' experience, the purpose of FTI's training is to further enhance the knowledge and understanding of all levels of practitioners. It ensures that both they and their employers realise a meaningful 'return on learning' relative to their initial understanding from the first class onwards".

FTI's Business analysis portfolio includes the Advanced Business Analysis programme (AdBA), which leads to the MICT SETA accredited National Certificate in Business Analysis (NCBA) NQF level six, the Certificate Programme in Business Analysis (CPBA), as well as the Applied Programme in Business Analysis (APBA). Once completed, the CPBA can be followed by the APBA and this combination also leads to the NCBA. In 2017 FTI will launch its first NQF level 5 Business analysis qualification namely, Business analysis Support Practices. FTI aspires to engage with top quality individuals whose spirit and personality types not only exude the necessary energy and passion for the industry, but mirrors the FTI philosophy of high standards both for delegates and facilitators alike. FTI's positive association with top trainers will be showcased at the upcoming BA Summit event during the keynote address to be delivered by the highly respected and well known Alex Noel, an FTI alumnus herself. Held in high regard as a specialist BA consultant and principal lecturer at FTI, Alex will address what makes a Business Analyst bullet proof. She says "Bullet proof BA's will need to prepare for what comes next, understanding where they fit in, and what to do to equip themselves for success in an ever-changing reality by upgrading their 'BA DNA' to enable them to be at the top of their game"

Alex Noel's keynote will highlight the classroom delivery style aspired to at FTI, one which brings content and learning to life. This coupled with the value evident to employers who stand to benefit from FTI's proven track record and sound reputation means FTI is sure to remain the first choice amongst individuals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in this arena.

This year's summit promises exposure to the expertise of top industry players. FTI views the event as an opportunity to illustrate how the most immersive and engaging delivery of knowledge creates powerful links in a training environment.
The BA Summit will take place from the 12th to the 14th September at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg. For further information or bookings see http://basummit.co.za/
