Dax Data launches new Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams with channel incentive programme

Cape Town, 22 May 2013

Dax Data, Adobe's leading distributor for southern Africa has announced a significant update to Adobe's Creative Cloud. The update is packed with new features, including an impressive set of "CC" desktop applications (previously branded CS) and sophisticated cross-device collaboration and publishing capabilities. Promotional pricing is available, customers who own CS3 and higher are eligible for discounts up to 40%.

Creative Cloud for Teams is a membership-based service which includes access to every CC app and future releases; it provides the latest Creative Cloud services and business features including the ability to share private folders with 100GB of file storage per seat; maintain file versions; sync settings and capture all activity in one place.

Dax Data's growing network of Adobe Certified and Gold resellers now have the opportunity to sell Adobe's Creative Cloud for Teams via a subscription service. Designed for companies of all sizes, Adobe's Value Incentive Plan (VIP) membership marks a significant move away from traditional licensing models to a more user-friendly, subscription-based facility.

The Adobe Volume Licensing (AVL) VIP is a membership programme allowing customers the facility to download and deploy Adobe products immediately under a subscription-type payment plan: No minimum licence purchase is required; management is easy via an admin console; deployment is immediate; and compliance automatic. VIP includes a new reseller portal which marks a major change from the traditional reseller/customer relationship. Resellers can now manage customer subscriptions from a simple Web-based console. Centralised administration tools make it easy for IT staff to purchase, deploy and manage Creative Cloud along with the changing needs of the team.

Channel Partners can take advantage of exciting deal registration opportunities (DROs) within this model, enabling resellers to secure additional revenue. Resellers registering a minimum of five units (full year or pro-rated partial year subscriptions) qualify for a 20% rebate, while those registering 20 or more licences can earn as much as 30%.

"We're delighted to offer the sale of Creative Cloud via the VIP subscription service," says Jeremy Matthews - Managing Director of Dax Data. "This new offering makes it easier for our customers to access the very latest Adobe software immediately at a lower cost, while providing the ongoing value our customers have come to expect from us. The Deal Registration opportunities also represent particularly generous incentives for resellers.

"The VIP model lends itself to a more secure relationship between reseller and customer, allowing the reseller to offer value added services around software deployment and subscription management," says Matthews. "It represents a major shift in how software is sold but offers significant value to the reseller channel and end-user customer."
