Equitrac Embedded now available for Canon imageRUNNER

Document Accounting Solutions (DAS), the local Equitrac distributor and provider of intelligent print management and cost recovery solutions, has announced a new version of the Equitrac Embedded software for the Canon Multifunctional Embedded Application (MEAP) platform.

Equitrac Embedded for Canon MEAP is available for Equitrac Professional, Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express and offers advantages for both end-users and IT professionals. End-users benefit from streamlined business workflows, with secure and convenient access to documents. IT professionals benefit from a lower total cost of ownership by eliminating the need for additional hardware to purchase and support.

With this release, Equitrac Embedded is now available for the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO/C7000/C5000 Series in addition to the current MEAP-enabled imageRUNNER/Color imageRUNNER line-up.

To further enhance user convenience, reduce costs and increase print control, the new version includes added functionality like:

* Print & Save - Users can now print a document and keep it available for later re-prints.
* Number of Copies - Users can now specify, at the device, how many copies of a released job will be printed.
* Forced Monochrome - Available with Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express, users now have the option to change a colour document to monochrome while they are at the MFP, helping eliminate needless colour printing.
* Campus card support - Available with Equitrac Express, Equitrac Embedded for Canon MEAP now integrates with campus card systems such as CBORD Odyssey, CBORD CS - Gold and Blackboard.
