MIA Telecoms, sole distributor of Samsung telecom and PABX equipment in sub-Saharan Africa, is now offering the Samsung OfficeServ 7030 Compact solution for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) locally.

The OfficeServ 7030 Compact is a converged communications platform with flexible configurations for a small system. It allows SMEs to take advantage of voice, data and wireless communications such as VOIP in a single low-cost platform, says MIA Telecoms.

According to the company, the solution can be tailored to the needs of SMEs and expanded as these needs change, due to features that include easy to deploy, low-cost IP extensions; analogue, ISDN and SIP trunks; and WiFi for wireless voice and data communications.

The voicemail element of the product, notes MIA Telecoms, is sophisticated yet priced for the smaller SME business and comes with e-mail integration, uniform call distribution, call sequencing and up to five hours of recording time, so no communication is missed.

MIA Telecoms MD, Bryan Driessel, says: “In the past, telephone systems for the SME or SOHO market have not been able to facilitate IP calls or IP extensions, at least not cost-effectively. The OfficeServ 7030 is offering small business the features and functions that have only been available to their larger counterparts at a price within their budget.”

The company adds that OfficeServ 7030 protects a businesses' investment in a Samsung solution. The common software, handsets and interconnectivity enable easy configuration for networking with larger systems in the OfficeServ 7000 series, providing a traditional or IP-based wired and wireless solution for voice and data communication.
