Unlimited VOIP will change how small to medium businesses not only consume, but budget for fixed line telephony, says Vox Telecom's Henda Edwardes.

Vox Telecom has introduced unlimited VOIP calls to SMEs for a fixed monthly fee on a term contract.

This adds to the company's services, including fibre infrastructure services, data access and Internet service provider services, cloud, PBX and video conferencing services, telephony management systems, faxing and text messaging applications.

According to Henda Edwardes, executive head of communications services at Vox Telecom, uncapped VOIP for business enables unlimited calls to mobile, national and local fixed line and select international destinations.

"We want to make telephony costs predictable and cost effective for SMEs, and an uncapped VOIP solution, with a fixed monthly fee, is undoubtedly the way to go.

"For too long, the discussion has just been about rates, and we want to rather focus on making this about value and quality. Our uncapped VOIP will only be provided over uncontended last mile, to ensure superior voice quality for our customers."

Three contract options have been created for the uncapped VOIP offering, starting at R1495 per month for five outbound channels, R4990 per month for 10 outbound channels and R8985 per month for 15 outbound channels.

Customers will be required to port to Vox Telecom, and thereby retain their existing fixed line numbers, says Vox Telecom.

The company will be complementing the uncapped VOIP for business solution with a private branch exchange (PBX) to new customers for free for six months - on a minimum 24-month contract.

There is no longer the requirement to get bill shock at the end of each month, depending on the number of calls made or received, says Edwardes.

"Uncapped VOIP will change how small to medium businesses not only consume, but also budget for fixed line telephony."

In another effort to target SMEs, the company recently introduced a Web site development solution that enables end users and small businesses to create and maintain professional and fully responsive Web sites.
