Exponant releases Websense application for Splunk

By Global Research Partners
Johannesburg, 17 Aug 2012

17 August 2012 - Exponant, a leader in delivering ground-breaking solutions using smart technologies and highly skilled people, and the master reseller in sub-Saharan Africa for Splunk, today announced that it has released a Websense application for Splunk.

The application, which has been released for the latest version of Websense ie v7.7, remotely monitors and troubleshoots Websense Web Security Gateway v7.7 and functionally includes traffic, user and security monitoring, as well as real-time filtering debugging.

"We are continually looking for ways to add value and opportunities for our clients and partners," commented Wolfgang Selzer, Executive Manager at Exponant. This is an excellent example of this, but this application also highlights the internal development capability that we have and one which we believe can be exploited for the mutual benefits of all parties involved.

"Today, we have a handful of users for this application," continued Selzer, "and one of them has already indicated that it's a nice application, the dashboards are clean, and the leverage summary indexing remains scalable even when a large amount of Websense data has to be iterated through."
