Altron is pleased to announce that Dr Madelise Grobler, Managing Director of Bytes People Solutions, was adjudged as both the country and SADC regional winner in the ICT category in the Africa's Most Influential Women in Business and Government 2017 Awards.
The awards are the leading African recognition programme honouring excellence in the private and public sector. The programme covers 23 economic sectors and has for the past 17 years independently recognised those leaders who are at the pinnacle of their industry.
"Nominees undergo a rigorous multi-tiered judging process," says Annelize Wepener, Chief Executive, of CEO Global, organisers of the award. "Quality assurance is provided by our audit partner throughout the judging process and the highest possible standard is maintained. Those individuals whom have been recognised as winners in their field can be assured that they have truly excelled."
The SADC South leg of the recognition programme is the first part of CEO Global's recognition programme that takes it around the continent to eight regions. In each of these regions, country and regional winners are identified.
The regional winners automatically qualify for the Continental Awards ceremony to be held in Johannesburg on 1 November 2017, where the continent's leading man and woman from each of the 23 economic sectors will be selected from the regional winners.

Grobler believes that to get people to perform, you have to lead by example. "The ability to lead a team towards wanting to achieve common goals contributes to a company's success, as does mentoring and coaching. It furthermore creates an environment where people want to come to work," says Grobler.
It's with this approach that she hopes to not only inspire other women to strive towards achieving their goals but to garner a greater acceptance amongst both male and female towards women in leadership positions.
