Kaseya targets financial sector with latest VAR appointment

Johannesburg, 08 Nov 2012

Kaseya, a leading provider of IT systems management software, has boosted its ability to penetrate the financial services market in South Africa, following the appointment of Synergy Group as a Kaseya value-added reseller (VAR).

Established in 1993, Synergy Group is a complete business solutions provider that has grown to become one of Africa's leading Sage ERP Business Partners. "Synergy Group is also the first managed services provider (MSP) to be appointed as a Kaseya VAR that has such a strong, established customer base of small to large corporations in the financial services vertical. This is a key market for us," explains Garth Hayward, regional manager for Kaseya Africa.

"Synergy also has clients in other key verticals, such as manufacturing, with user-bases that range from two to 300. This offers potential to grow our business into these verticals as well."

Hayward explains that Synergy Group has developed core competencies around the Kaseya solution as the group has been using it to improve its business as an MSP over the last 24 months.

"Having successfully used the Kaseya platform to enhance the group's business, it fully understands the solution and can effectively articulate the value proposition, which makes it the perfect addition to our partner programme," he continues.

"We are extremely excited to join Kaseya as only the third local MSP to receive VAR status," says Ashley Regenass, Chief Executive Officer at Synergy Group. "Having built our business and a reputation as specialist providers of information system and business solutions, with enterprise resource planning (ERP) at the core, we are keen to expand our service offering even further."

According to Regenass, as a Kaseya VAR, the group can now offer its existing customer base, as well as any future clients, another business solution that is able to increase its competitive edge, a business philosophy that the company has been built on. "The enterprise-class IT systems management solution offered by Kaseya offers value to everyone, and can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the systems and solutions we already offer. This strengthens our overall offering. As such, we are looking forward to what the future holds for us through this partnership," he concludes.

Kaseya has appointed regional sales managers and pre-sales support staff to provide the support that Synergy Group will require as a Kaseya partner. "The group also has the backing of the Kaseya Global Support Centre for enhanced technical and after-sales support 24/7," says Hayward. All Kaseya's partners have attained Kaseya Certified Administrator (KCA) status, administered by IT Scholars, based at the Florida International University. "This level of certification also gives staff preferred access to our international technical support team.

"The addition of Synergy Group to the Kaseya partner programme officially concludes our first round of local VAR appointments. These appointments have already been extremely successful and have ensured that we now have a broad and competent network to firmly entrench ourselves in the local market. We look forward to growing these relationships in the local managed services industry and hope to unlock even more vertical markets as we expand our reseller network in the coming months," concludes Hayward.
